• Make sure that you use the inside of your foot. Your foot should make a ninety-degree angle with the ball. The foot planted on the ground should be facing straight, and the passing foot should face outwards and to the side. Widen your hips so that it is easier to achieve the correct angle since this will also improve the accuracy of your shot.
•  Always aim for the middle of the ball. If you hit the ball from beneath, that would make it fly in the air, while too high an aim would result in inaccurate, slow shots. Maintaining a balance when hitting the ball in the middle is key for accurate passes.

Dribbling is an important skill to learn as a new soccer player. While most coaches would tell you to focus on passes and also encourage passing rather than dribbling in a game of soccer, a seasoned soccer player must know when it is best to dribble when you are stuck in a one-on-one situation with the defending team.

• Learn to dribble with both feet. Use the top part of your foot to lightly touch the ball. Also, practice dribbling with both the inside and outside of both feet to increase your skill and strength as an attacker to become a versatile and unpredictable soccer player.
• Learn to balance: Keeping your arms down, and to your side while facing outwards will help you maintain your balance as you dribble. You would also be more alert and wary of defenders and this technique would also enable you to shield the ball away from them.
